The back of the D-28 has a black and white Boltaron inlay with old style 28 purfling. The side of the D-28 is made from polished, solid East Indian Rosewood. The case looks nice except the velco straping that holds the tools in were already falling apart. I think I’ll just try some fabric glue to fix them. The stitching was weak on almost all of them. The reason I bought this set over an almost identical one was because of the “$20 Omaha Steaks Gift Reward Card” which isn’t a reward card AT ALL.
